I am working on the Logistics team with Culture Y and am an Art History PhD student researching Scandinavian medieval art. My favorite space is in medieval churches, especially churches that maintain their medieval decoration. I enjoy walking into a church space and studying all the pieces inside that not only provide a function for the architecture, but are also symbolic. The artwork within the church space adds another layer of symbolism and atmosphere that creates a space meant to evoke the divine. I love how the space created during the Medieval Period is still partially timeless and can elicit a sense of wonder. Although I am a Medievalist, I appreciate many other artistic periods. I have studied American Modern art and enjoy works by Albert Bierstadt, Frederic Church, and Thomas Moran. I have a passion for all forms of art.
